When Gina and I were conversing about her engagement session it became very clear that she loves her home city of Stockton and loves Christmas and Christmas lights. So we pretty much planned their shoot around those two elements. From the old buildings to the beautiful leaves of the fall, Stockton was really a perfect place to shoot. And when we got to her backyard which she had filled with Christmas lights we had our own little winter wonderland. Of course the most fun for me was to spend some time with a super-fun couple and get to know them together. Next April can’t come soon enough! In the meantime, welcome to Christmas and the holidays!
I’m so excited to share with everyone J.R. and Natalie’s engagement session today! We spent the afternoon laughing and wandering around the gorgeous Rancho San Antonio open preserve together. Sometimes my job really doesn’t feel like work at all. On this day I just felt like I was lucky to be making new friends, and having fun with a camera in a beautiful place with beautiful people. Their cats even made an appearance! They were pretty bewildered to find themselves in the middle of a park, rather than curled up at home, but I think it was worth it. I’m pretty thrilled to be shooting J.R. and Natalie’s wedding next year, and love the really fun dynamic they have together. Hopefully some of the joy they have together can be seen in the following images. Enjoy!
When the wedding day starts with yoga it’s just going to be a good time. Period. And the day just became more perfect from there. Every minute detail had been thought of (and most of them designed by Angelina and Dan), and the flowers positively exploded anywhere you walked as the guests made their way through the stunning woods. Pema Osel Ling is an absolutely gorgeous location deep in the heart of the redwoods of the Santa Cruz mountains, and the way everything came together reflected their love for each other, nature, art, and beautiful little things. The weather couldn’t have been more gorgeous and I had a blast throughout the day. Highlights for me included shooting relaxed portraits in this beautiful space, a really touching and meaningful ceremony, and Angelina’s niece and nephew who always kept their parents on their toes, but added a special sense of joy to the day. Enjoy these images… I have.
A day filled with laughter, joy and beauty in the heart of San Francisco. From the Omni Hotel, to Coit Tower and then over to the beautiful Sunnyside Conservatory for an intimate ceremony this day was perfect. I’ll let the images speak.
